Up for sale is a beautiful, highly collectible vintage Stanwell Shape 185 featuring a factory-original bright silver-tone mount. The 185 is one of Stanwell’s most famous and comfortable Danish silhouettes, featuring a plump, full-bodied bowl that feels excellent in the hand. Crucially, this pipe features the crisp, vintage “MADE IN DENMARK” stamping on the shank and the “185” shape number stamped clearly on the side. This guarantees it was crafted during Stanwell’s original, highly revered era of Danish manufacturing before production was later moved out of the country. This pipe is pristine New Old Stock (NOS) from the private display cabinet of my former tobacco shop. It has never been smoked, never been filled with tobacco, and has been stored safely in a clean, climate-controlled retail environment. The original cardboard box was misplaced over the years, so the pipe does not include its original factory box. However, the pipe itself is in absolute showroom condition with a perfect rim, clean chamber, and pristine stem. A fantastic, unsmoked piece of authentic Danish pipe-making history.
