They meticulously produce only 1500 pipes a year and with a more rustic design than the majority of similar Italian makers. Their main markets are in Italy, Germany, and the US. Elio & Guido use briar from Liguria, and their stems are hand carved from long lasting Lucite. Here’s a very large Rinaldo YYY Grade bent, seldom seen Scoop shaped pipe awaiting its maiden voyage. Outstanding engineering and craftsmanship combined with thick chamber walls and a delightful rustication, for a cooler smoking instrument. It houses a large tobacco chamber, 7/8. Inches in diameter and nearly 2 inches deep. And, with the bend, it’s an ideal all day clenching pipe. Draft hole is center and above the bottom of the chamber. Pipe has a wide-open draw. Tenon to mortise union is very sound, flush & snug. Pipe does not accept a filter. 23 ounces (91.5 grams). Even with the bend, pipe passes a cleaner with ease.
