Thanks to the help from a passerby I was able to correctly identify this pipe. The signature simply lacks a little under curl on the “B” so I was looking for “P”. The pipe appears unused to me. My understanding is that dating for Boswell with the “signature” started sometime in the 1980’s so I would assume this is earlier. The bowl is “coated”. My understanding is that this is, more or less, a primer coat for a pipe. There is a spot without coating but it does not effect the pipe. The sticker on the end of the Preben box notes “Fancy Sandblast”. Please see the numerous pictures. As I said when this was misidentified. Please ask questions and I will answer to the best of my ability.
