Most of the time when tribute pipes are made to honor another excellent pipe they are never as grand. However, in the case of Rattray’s Glory Day collection, you could easily mistake one of these pipes for the original Svend Bang Cherrywood that inspired them. The magic behind these pipes is the polished aluminum accents, of which the bottom piece has been laser engraved with a celtic cross design. As much as this deserves to be a plain show pipe, we just can’t help but smoke it–and trust us, it smokes great! Length: 5.74 in. / 145.90 mm. Height: 2.36 in. / 59.87 mm. Weight: 1.95 oz. Rattray’s Glory Day Tobacco Pipe Sandblast

The classic cherrywood you see here was carved to honor S. Bang, a legendary artisan pipe carver. Made to imitate one of his most famous creations, the Glory Day pipes are some of the proudest products of the Rattray’s pipe company. This edition has been sandblasted and stained grey, save for smooth cherry chamber rim, which offers a splendid contrast.
