A historic and artistic district, Montmartre is recognized by the Basilica of the Sacré-Cour at its summit, constructed in 1914 and marked by a distinctive white dome, and also features the Saint Pierre de Montmartre church built in 1147. Moreover, many famous artists of the Belle Époque lived or worked in Montmartre, including Monet, Renoir, Degas, Picasso, Pissarro, and van Gogh. Chacom’s Supreme series is a unique one, comprising a singular shape across both smooth and sandblasted finishes. Said shape is this strikingly sinuous bent Egg rendition, a profile that the French marque originally used for their 1978 Pipe of the Year. The transition is tight and gives way to a high-kicking, subtly tapered shank met by a domed, flaring fitment of pale, swirling wood that additionally serves as the junction to a smartly curved, tapering stem of black acrylic.
