Handcrafted in Dayton KY by Christopher Kubik. The form of this pipe was dictated by the grain in the briar. I saw that it could be a fountain like shape with a rim of raw live edge briar around the collar near the stem. The top face slopes smoothly and seamlessly down into the bowl – aiding in packing the tobacco. The pipe is made out of two materials – Algerian Briar and the Acrylic stem. Its’ mated stem is removable for thorough cleanings. The bit used to create the bowl is a hand shaped spade bit, modeled after the famous Peterson bowl shape. The bowl coating is a charcoal and powdered sugar paste to improve carbon build and enhance the taste of the break-in period. It will smoke evenly for about 45 minutes to an hour and 15 minutes.
