They know how to turn out shapes that sit right in the hand and smoke without drama. Design-wise, they lean classic European. Billiards, dublins, bent apples, the occasional modern line to remind you they’re still awake. Nothing trying too hard. Just balanced proportions and finishes that range from honest sandblasts to clean, traditional smooths. They’re not blue-chip collector bait. A road trip pipe. A “don’t overthink it” pipe. Chacom is what happens when a region builds an industry and then keeps refining it for 150 years. I have recently acquired a lot of 539 absolutely spectacular pipes, almost all new old stock, unsmoked gems from makers like Mastro De Paja, Taylor Made, Neerup, Chacom and more! One vintage Meerschaum “skull” pipe with red velvet-lined fitted leather bound case. It measures approximately 6-1/2 long. It has some wear on the high points. I don’t see any cracks or repairs. Minimal tooth marks on the bottom side of the mouthpiece, which I believe is made of Delrin. Also some wear to the finish on the metal bands around the neck. He has crafted hundreds of pipes to date. He has regularly participated in exhibitions in many countries including Germany, United Kingdom, Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia. Every Johnsson OSL pipe is carved by hand from quality imported briar wood. These imported woods came from Algeria, Greece and other Mediterranean countries. Johnsson has personally and carefully selected each piece for carving. The only part of the pipe that is not hand carved is the main chamber, which is machined to form a precise bowl. Every pipe is unique and has an artistic character story to tell. Description Stylish and durable pipe has a detachable stem for easy cleaning. The bowl is hand carved of briar wood with no replicator used and Lucite stem is made of high quality natural acrylic. Finishing is performed with carnauba wax. The pipe is durable, can be used repeatedly for a very long time.
